Dance students participate in the Academy for Performing arts interdisciplinary approach to arts education. They work collaboratively with theatre, design & production, visual art, and music students on a variety of student-led creative projects and productions. This collaborative approach is designed to expand each student’s approach to dance and prepare them for the ever-changing, always collaborative world of professional dance.

All Lower Junior classes are taught predominantly by their form teachers and teaching assistants within their own classrooms. The exceptions are Games, French, ICT, library and music, all of which are taught by specialist staff. Swimming lessons also begin in Reception once a week at York Hall swimming baths, taught by qualified swimming teachers.
